thank you. only issue I had was the brake pipes lower VW steel washer kept weeping. To get the bugger off was near impossible trying to not damage the aluminium thread it sits on. Eventually with 2 persons, we got it off after an hour and fitted the new one that came with copper crush washers. What the heck was VW thinking using a steel washer. Good job I had a friend otherwise I could not have completed the otherwise very easy job as that VW steel washer refused to seal properly against the new calliper and was near impossible to remove.

Perhaps a silly doubt but I'm assuming the handbrake (lever) is (and must be) off from the very start and only reapplied after reassembly and bleeding of the caliper?
@@VikingArelius wierd...you can be a guy at home making a how to video and you can show whatever you want. As soon as you go commercial you can't show anything anymore

My instruction sheet says to bleed the caliper before attaching handbrake cable.
Does it make any difference?
